Our backgrounds and firm
history:
Wilson & Associates has a
general business law practice (including business litigation, corporate transactions, and
intellectual property matters), and assists individuals primarily in estate planning and
employment matters.
The firm's founder, Jeffrey S. Wilson,
is a 1987 graduate of the Northwestern University School of Law. After working at a large Chicago firm for eight
years, Jeff moved his practice to Schaumburg in 1995 to be closer to clients and his
family and to be able to offer lower rates. Jeff
lectures frequently on legal matters, is an active member of the American Bar Association,
and chairs the Northwest Suburban Bar Association's Intellectual Property Law Committee. Jeff's practice is concentrated in
intellectual property law and commercial litigation, along with corporate law, employment matters,
and estate planning.
Maureen A. Pastika, of counsel
to the firm, has a background in the employment benefits field, and has worked in a large
telecommunications company and a small benefits consulting firm. Maureen is a 1991 graduate of the Loyola
University of Chicago School of Law and is admitted to practice in Wisconsin as well as
Illinois. Prior to her affiliation at the
firm, Maureen worked at two large Chicago law firms.
Maureen concentrates her practice in estate planning, ERISA, and corporate
law matters.
